Individual Bomb Disposal Suit “Granat-V”

Individual Protection Suit (IPS), manufactured by Shchelkovskaya Silk-Weaving Factory (CJSC), provides protection for the operator, performing the bomb disposal, from blast threat (excess pressure of air blast, fragmentation impacts, as well as bullet-proof protection) at the ambient temperature from -40°C to +40°C.

IPS provides the following protection of the operator:

1. Frontal protection:

• from the penetration of fragments with the speed of not less than 600 m/s according to S2-V50% protective structure level (hereinafter referred to as the “level”) (due to the jacket with throat protector, trousers, overboots, shorts and gloves) (GOST 34286-2017).
• from the penetration of fragments with the speed of fragments of not less than 2,000 m/s according to S2-V50% protective structure level (due to the front and groin ceramic composite armor plates).
• 360 degree protection of hands from the penetration of fragments with the speed of not less than 550 m/s according to S2-V50% protective structure level;2.

2. Back protection:

• from the penetration of fragments of V50% with the speed of not less than 400 m/s according to S2 protective structure level (due to jacket, trousers and shorts);

3. Helmet with visor , manufactured by KlASS Research and Development Enterprise (JSC)

• helmet of S2 - V50% protective structure level with the speed of fragments of not less than 700 m/s.
• visor of S2 - V50% protective structure level with the speed of fragments of not less than 800 m/s.

IPS reduces the probability of injury of operator, caused by all blast threats, which occur during the explosion of unjacketed filler with the weight of 1.5 kilogram TNT equivalent at a distance of not less than 2 m.

1. Bomb Disposal Suit (jacket, trousers with back protectors, shorts, gloves, overboots)

4. System of air cooling of the under-suit space of the jacket.
5. Integrated wired audio/video monitoring and control system.
